However, I finally broke down yesterday morning and called the company the cheue came from.

The same payment was issued in a check and in a gift card. lol Reply Please listen to my story and reply back asap-I was chatting with this person on line. He told me one of his friends wanted to wire transfer me $8000 to my bank account. The next day I got my online started and 1 hour after I got that started and checked to see if the $25 had posted-There was $8025.00 there.

I didn’t know who sent the check but it was legit and in my name, so I cashed it and waited. He called me that afternoon and said not to touch one dime of that money until he tell me to.

Well they said that they gave the correct amount and have no mistakes showing in their system. Because we have the check from that company he was on the phone with them for two hours and they kept saying that it’s all fine on their system and just left it at that. Reply I know, it’s always annoying and feels like a waste of time trying to fix other peoples problems :( But remember that it’s better to be THEIR problem than YOUR problem! I’d just double check that your mother-in-law in fact got the money okay that first go around. You draw on the 8000.00 then he’ll cancel the 8000.00 deposit and any money you’ve sent or used will come out of your account.

Just last week by courier I received a cheque drawn on a company in the same place as my father lives.

Eventually everyone finds out when they’ve misplaced money, so you might as well just bring it to their attention and be done with it.

That money was never yours to begin with, and will never turn into yours unless something crazy happens and you’re that .001% odds that get away with it. My parents bank mistakenly put .2 million dollars into their checking account!Sounds like an absolutely nightmare and I do hope you get it solved soon!!Reply I lost my ATM card stupidly I had my number on the back only because I have a habit of using the wrong number with the wrong card person withdraw money out of my account put me in the negative I disputed it with the bank strange thing is they made two ATM deposits

What the time we didn’t have the money to take care of the problem so my mother in law helped out and said she would pay and we could pay her back. The company double charged my mother in law so we complained and they refunded her money to her bank account. So she dug a little deeper (wasting a good hour, while in the middle of studying for some huge exams coming up) and realized her University had thought she had overpaid her health insurance, and was thus crediting back her “2nd payment.” She quickly told them that it was a mistake, and that she had only paid it ONCE, and 40 mins later it was all cleared up and finally resolved. At which they thanked her profusely as it saved them a few weeks, if not months, of headache trying to track their mistake when the numbers wouldn’t have balanced. It’s not even worth *thinking* about spending the money – however small or large it is.
